'Madras Cafe' is story set in late 80's during the Sri Lankan civil war and India's role in sending its peace force out there. Indian intelligence officer Vikram Singh {John Abraham} is assigned to Sri Lanka on a political task. He and his team have to support the opposition party against the militant leader Anna Bhaskaran {Ajay Rathnam}.
