'Lootera' is story of a wealthy Zamindar {Barun Chanda} and his daughter Pakhi {Sonakshi Sinha} residing in a small village of West Bengal set in the post independence era. One fine day archeologist Varun Srivastav {Ranveer Singh} and his friend Dev {Vikrant Massey} approach the Zamindar for helping them find a civilization in his property.
